I sincerely hope everyone had an exciting, relaxing, and safe summer vacation. Here’s to an eventful 2014/2015 school year!!!
Please note that we will switch classes starting Thursday. Our first couple of days will focus on community building, getting to know each other, and classroom procedures.
5th Grade
Tuesday, September 2, 2014-Please complete the following forms and submit them by this Friday (Sept. 5th): Emergency forms, Media Consent, and CPS Waiver form. The CP S waiver forms need to be completed even if your child will not receive hot lunch. Please just write your child’s name, add DNA (Does Not Apply), and sign the bottom portion.
Wednesday, September 3, 2014-The forms listed above are all due on/before Friday, September 5th. Also, your summer packet and notebook are due on/before Friday, September 5th. Tonight-Develop ideas for your coat of arms project (rubric attached below).

5th grade assembly PBIS song (playground):
group 1-At the playground–that’s where you’ll find me. Breaking the rules is now way behind me.
group 2-The words I use are always kind. That’s why my friends are by my side.
group 3- Safety first, that’s what I heard! Taking equipment is for the birds.
group 4-Following the rules the first time is a must. If not everyone is gone, and you’re left in the dust.
group 5-You’ll see me lining up when the whistle blows. I’m paying attention when my class goes.
